Management/Supervisory Case Consultation

CARE EAP clinicians can provide telephone case consultation to management and supervisory staff. In-person consultations are also conducted and encouraged. Collaborating with an EAP professional about a troubled employee, an upcoming confrontation or a work-team dysfunction can be a cost-effective early intervention strategy. Interventions may be arranged for entire departments to assess internal struggles, personality dynamics, and operational processes, and to assist management in developing a functional plan. Also, an EAP clinician can be involved in mediation or negotiation between a supervisor and employee or between employees.

The CARE EAP program has been designed to work in close collaboration with the Human Resources Department. CARE EAP provides consultations to HR regarding policies specific to drug and alcohol, sexual harassment, workplace violence, crisis intervention, etc.
